I Think, Therefore I Blog

As the result of what must be a very dubious process indeed, I have been honored with the "Thinking Blogger" award, by Tom Bozzo over at Marginal Utility!

I have to admit, that although I think my blog is occasionally entertaining, that when I read some other people's blogs, I sometimes feel a sense of deep shame about how frivolous my own is! But, Blue Monster does indeed involve some thought (although not a helluva a lot), so it is hard to deny that I do, in fact, qualify.

Part of the award is license to pass it on, so let me list a couple from my Bloglines list that often, if not always, make me jealous.

The Situationist is my current fav. Although I claim to be a sociologist, I'm probably more of a social psychologist at heart.

I would also bestow on orgtheory.net, but Tom beat me to it. Nevertheless, they were the first ones who made me jealous and aware of my own inadequacy.

To take this a little outside our little academic circle here, I'll point you to Reel Fanatic, who doesn't always agree with my take on movies, and thus proves to be at least as thoughtful as me.

And then two who seem to think at least somewhat like I do, although a fair amount better. Although Tom mentioned Jeremy, I don't think he actually gave him the award, so there you go Jeremy (You can have your kewpie back if you want). And finally Marc over at Everyday Life who shares my concern for the sociology of bathrooms.
